About Payments
How does Just Lawyer Sites receive payments from customers?
99% of all payments made to us will be through PayPal invoicing. We Prefer to do it this way so that we never directly collect your personal financial information or store it within our records. Plus PayPal is recognized around the world as the safest way to make any payment online. They also offer buyer and seller protection (please visit their site to find out more).
Now you do not have to have a PayPal account to pay a PayPal invoice. They are set up to receive all major credit card information that will all be protected by their security measures. Again, please visit paypal.com and read up on their privacy policies.
Just Lawyer Sites will accept checks through the mail, but only under the following conditions:
- You have used our services at least once before and paid on time and through PayPal
- Delivery of the final project files will only be made once a check is received and cleared
- We are able to verify the address from which you are doing business with Just Lawyer Sites from
How will payments be scheduled?
The standard practice for most jobs is to receive half of the total cost of the project up front and the remaining half on completion of the job to the customer’s satisfaction.
Under special circumstances Just Lawyer Sites may allow full payment to be made at the end of the job, but only if ALL the following criteria are met:
- You have used our services at least once before and paid on time
- The job is relatively small (normally $100 or less)
- You agree not to receive the final project files until the invoice has been paid
“Please do not ask for this privilege unless all 3 items are true”
Now for jobs that become quite large, usually over $2,500.00, a payment schedule will be setup. This would involve 3 (possibly more) payments (not necessarily equal) to be made at predetermined points in the project timeline. These points will be discussed with the customer before work begins and will be outlined in the work order agreement the customer receives.
Will Just Lawyer Sites ever charge by the hour?
Yes, many smaller projects are billed by the hour simply because some could take almost no time and others might require several revisions to have the project turn out perfect for the customer. Common jobs of this nature would include single module or component installation and a few other odd jobs for websites. Hourly charges will be determined in a per job basis and based on our experience.
When billing by the hour we give you an estimate of how long we think it will take and then you pay half of that total up front. We keep a detailed log file of when we work on a job, what we did in that time and the total time it took for each of those working sessions in 15 minute increments. Then once the job is finished, you will be charged for the grand total of time minus the original down payment you made.
The customer is free to ask for the kept log file at any time during the project, but one will be provided to the customer at the end of the project regardless if it was asked for or not so that you may see the work that went into your requests.
Rates for hourly work will normally range between $20 – 40 dollars per hour, dependant on the jobs complexity and rarity.
Any foot notes?
Of course! If the project you have requested of Just Lawyer Sites is not packaged with certain items such as web hosting or domain registration, those costs will not be a part of the project total and will most likely have to be made up front so that we can implement them for project development. In cases of packaged services, items of this nature will simply come out of the first down payment.

Our Recommendation
When it comes to hosting your new website, one thing you need to do is have a well respected company for your hosting needs. While we can work on almost any server you go with, we have found that Hostgator has been the best choice hands down. Not only do they have outstanding service, even their smallest packages provide enough room to host a dozen sites with ease. Not to mention that we are highly familiar with the sofware they use. That is a huge plus in time management when we set off to do your website.
So please, even if we don't do the work for you. You will need hosting and you will not find a better company to host you site. Use the link below to go there now.
